Future apprentice – Horticulture and Landscaping​​​​​​​

Last year one of our Land Based studies learners completed an application for Newcastle City Council Pre-apprentice programme. He added a lot of detail on his previous experience, transferrable skills, personal qualities and knowledge and skills gained from his Land-Based qualification. He was then shortlisted for an interview. He chose a very smart and suitable outfit for the interview and attended extra sessions from his usual timetable at Solutions to become fully prepared. This included – planning the route to the interview, thinking of all possible questions he could be asked, questions to ask the interviewer and had a mock interview with our employer engagement officer. He performed outstandingly in his interview and received excellent feedback. We then found out that he was successful with his application and interview and had been given a full apprenticeship in Horticulture and Landscaping. Well done Ryan!
