Health & Social Care
This programme aims to prepare you for the world of work within the Health, Care or Education sector. You will gain knowledge and experience of the industry, whilst studying with skilled staff in a specialist-training environment with practical opportunities. You can train up to level one standard, as well as improving skills such as communication, teamwork, leadership and employability to prepare you for the world of work. This course is an ideal opportunity to develop your organisation skills as well as gaining an understanding of the Health and Social Care sector.

The Learn to Work Programme will also include:
Personal Social Development, Employability Skills, Maths and English (Functional Skills up to GCSE), Digital Skills and British Values.

Entry Requirements:
There are no formal entry requirements. Individual needs will be assessed at the interview to ensure you are enrolled on the most suitable programme.
Work placements:
Work placement will be a core part of your programme, and you will be required to undertake a DBS check (free of charge).
We currently have links with various employers in the local area including care homes, nurseries, schools, specialist provision, NHS links and many more.
Progression Routes:
There are excellent progression opportunities in this industry including pre-apprenticeships, care workers, teaching assistants, level 2 and 3 qualifications, nursery nurses, SEN specialist support and many more.
Remote Learning:
All theory elements of each course can take place remotely with staff completing regular welfare checks. Training will be given to learners and policies will need to be discussed and acknowledged, before remote learning takes place.
