Mucking Out
The girls arrived fully prepared in their personal protective equipment, ready for a day of mucking out. We began by letting the alpacas out into the bottom field for the day. However, we encountered a small mishap when we accidentally released both the males and females together. We quickly rectified the situation by separating them and returning them to their respective enclosures before moving on to a different field.
Afterwards, we diligently swept and washed out the barn, proceeding to the top field where we cleaned the goat, chicken, and pig enclosures. This task proved quite pungent due to the pig, but the girls persevered, ensuring all the animals enjoyed clean bedding and access to fresh food and water. As a result, the animals were content and comfortable in their refreshed surroundings.
